A Point Clear, Alabama Wedding | November 11, 2018

Suzanne & Brent’s | Point Clear, Alabama | 11.11.2018

When Suzanne & Brent asked me to photograph their Point Clear, Alabama wedding, I couldn’t resist. Suzanne is my wonderful sister-in-law. I am always grateful to be given the opportunity to photograph any wedding but it’s extra special when your family trust you to document such a special day.

Suzanne’s dress was a full length and capped sleeves with a broach at the waste from Rosie’s Bridal in Mobile, Alabama. She wore silver wedges. Her bridesmaid’s were her daughter, Anna, and step-daughter, Skyler. Their sweet dachshund, Bella, was dog of honor. They wore floor length navy chiffon dresses. The groom wore a classic gray suit from Dillard’s.

White hydrangea’s, pink spray roses, and greenery were sprinkled through out the details of the day. From the bride’s bouquet to the table centerpieces, every detail was just perfect. A tremendous amount of thought and effort from close friends and family was put into Suzanne and Brent’s entire day. Brent crafted the solid cypress arbor. The flowers were arranged by a sweet friend The wedding cake was made by another friend. My favorite part of the day was watching all of Suzanne and Brent’s friends and loved one coming together to pull the day off for them.

The entire day was perfect…

You really couldn’t have asked for a better day. The weather was cool in the early morning. It quickly warmed up by their 11:00 AM ceremony.

The ceremony was perfect and sweet. The officiant’s ceremony accentuated how much love Suzanne and Brent have for each other. You can tell just how happy they are by the look on their faces when they came back down the aisle together.

After the ceremony, their friends and family joined them for a jazz brunch. They served salad, shrimp and grits, pork loin with jezebel and horseradish sauce, fried chicken tenders, and green beans. Arkesha Safford also made a pot of her award winning gumbo. The band had everyone up and dancing, even at 12 noon. Take a look below at the stunning details of their day!

Suzanne and Brent, Thank you for asking me to document your fall Point Clear, Alabama wedding. Photographing couples in love is the best part of my job but its even better when they are family!

I am Jessica Smith. I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Born and raised in Alabama, I have lived on the Gulf Coast for the most of my life. After adventures with my husband’s job in the Coast Guard, we decided it was time to follow our hearts and settle down back on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Being from Fairhope, my southern heritage is apparent from the time you meet me. My southern “twang” and my love of Alabama football are the giveaways. I am a wife and a mother to three gorgeous sons. I also love to garden and promoting wellness in the world.
