A Pensacola, Florida Engagement Session | April 21, 2018

Tiffany & Christaan| Pensacola, Florida Engagement | 04.21.2018

I met Tiffany at the Wedding of a Lifetime Bridal show by Francia’s Formal Affair  at the Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, Alabama.

The meeting…

Tiffany and I met at Carpe Diem to chat. I love meeting with my brides and grooms and hearing all about their wedding day plans, how they met each other, how he proposed, and more. It gives me the opportunity to get to know them and figure out their personalities and relationship dynamic before our session.

Christaan proposed to Tiffany on a ferris wheel and Tiffany is afraid of heights. Christaan didn’t just have to get up the nerve to actually propose but he had to convince her to actually get on the ferris wheel. Tiffany’s first choice wedding venue has had a sink whole problem. She has been bouncing back and forth on several ideas on an alternative location. We discussed several ideas on locations for their engagement session and finally decided on a unique location in Pensacola, Florida.

The engagement session

Tiffany and Christaan wanted a very non-traditional engagement session. They found a 1950’s vintage Yellowstone camper on Airbnb. The owner of the Airbnb also owns some gorgeous property on Escambia Bay that had a quaint, private beach area and another vintage camper that is cutely decorated.

Tiffany, Christian, and I met each other on the property on the Bay first for traditional engagement session photos. We walked around the beach area and were able to get some great images. It was adorable watching how easily Christaan can make Tiffany giggle.

Tiffany and Christaan worked hard on the second part of the session. It took several trips to Goodwill but they came up with the best costumes! Christaan had on a blue t-shirt with blue gym shorts and very vintage high top socks. Tiffany wore high-wasted pants, a very vintage, spotted (like a dalmatian) wind breaker and light aqua Chucks.  Y’all, they got into it! Christaan was talking like Joe dirt and Tiffany teased her hair! And did you notice the bow?! To set the scene, they even had NA Busch and old fashioned glass bottle Coca Cola’s.

We went back to the camper they were staying at for another wardrobe change. Flash forward 60 years and meet grandma and grandpa Perez!! Doesn’t Tiffany look like Sophia from the Golden Girls in her cute little grandma outfit? Christaan’s glasses belonged to his late father. I think my favorite photo from the grandma and grandpa portion is the last one of them just holding hands staring straight at the camera. I can seriously see these two looking like a cute old couple just like that in 60 years.

Thank you…

I had the best time with Tiffany and Christaan. They are super easy going and love to cut up and joke. I love it when my clients think out of the box! This session was perfect for them. Thank you both for such a great experience.

I’ll admit when Tiffany shared their vision, I couldn’t completely see it. As she sent me photos of their outfits and the ideas before their session, I got so excited. I love engagement sessions and Tiffany and Christaan set the bar really high with this one.
