A Fairhope, Alabama Engagement Session on Mobile Bay

A Fairhope, Alabama Engagement Session on Mobile Bay

Taylor & Laura | Fairhope, Alabama Engagement | Spring 2017

Taylor and my husband have been friends since they were 4. They met playing little league and have been friends ever since. They even share the same birthday just one year apart. Taylor was one of the first people that I met when I moved to Fairhope, Alabama back in 2000. We were all friends through out high school, including Laura. Taylor and Laura started dating in 2013 and the rest is history. Let me tell you more about their Fairhope, Alabama engagement session.

The engagement session…

Taylor and Laura are both from Fairhope and they both LOVE the water, so their session location was a easy to choose. We started the session on the bluff overlooking Mobile Bay. I found this absolutely perfect camellia tree sprinkled with hot pink blooms that even had petals scattered about on the ground.

Once we left there, we stopped in the street  to grab a photo with the notorious moss covered live oak that the Gulf Coast of Alabama is known for. We then headed down to the beach to the right of the Fairhope pier. We started down by the water to the far end where its usually less crowded and strolled back in the direction of the pier.

Taylor and Laura were so much fun! They are the goofiest couple and constantly giggled and had fun throughout the entire session. Seriously, they made my job so easy!

Taylor and Laura are seriously perfect for each other. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the American Legion on Mobile Bay in Fairhope, Alabama this October.

I am Jessica Smith. I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Born and raised in Alabama, I have lived on the Gulf Coast for the most of my life. After adventures with my husband’s job in the Coast Guard, we decided it was time to follow our hearts and settle down back on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Being from Fairhope, my southern heritage is apparent from the time you meet me. My southern “twang” and my love of Alabama football are the giveaways. I am a wife and a mother to three gorgeous sons. I also love to garden and promoting wellness in the world.
