Styled shoots can be a great way to collaborate with other local wedding vendors. This beautiful whimsical elopement styled shoot was no exception! The incredible Abigail Wellinghurst put together a bright Blakeley State Park elopement for local Alabama photographers and Rising Tide Society members to photograph. When I met Abigail, she was the leader of our local Tuesday’s Together chapter. At our local meetings, she encouraged all of us to connect as creative entrepreneurs to create incredible moments like this styled shoot at Blakeley State Park.
Whimsical Blakeley State Park Elopement
Our elopement styled shoot took place in a field at the Historic Blakeley State Park, here in Spanish Fort Alabama. Happily, the vendor team for the shoot stuck with a whimsical color scheme, using corals, blues, and pops of red to bring the designs to life. As with most elopements, the focus was really on the bride and groom during our shoot. We spent most of our time posing them and enjoying the opportunity to photograph such a fun couple! Our gorgeous bride had the most beautiful floral crown and bouquet to match. Similarly, our groom was nice and comfortable with a bright boutonnière to match his bride. The bright colors really stood out in the field of Blakely State Park.
Thanks to Abigail’s planning, we also had some really awesome details to photograph!! A gorgeous reception space had been set up for us. The bride and groom each had their own unique vintage place setting. This mismatched table trend is one I can get behind! So fun!! Additionally, there was a beautiful watercolor inspired invitation for the elopement. Emerald Coast Custom Cakes designed a beautiful three-tiered wedding cake that was just amazing! The second layer had some faux macrame. Along with a few colorful flowers, it was the perfect design for the dessert table. We wrapped up the shoot with a few portraits of the bride and groom alongside the table. What a gorgeous day!
Thank you to all of the amazing vendors who came together and made this whimsical elopement shoot come to life! It was so much fun!
