Bethel Church Wedding | Beth & Jeremy Alabama Photographer Captures Classic Wedding

Beth and Jeremy’s Bethel Church wedding day is one I’ll remember forever. It was truly a special day to photograph. Not only was it special because of the incredible couple getting married, but also because of where their wedding took place. Beth and Jeremy chose to be married at Bethel Church. Amazingly, this sweet little chapel is the same one my own grandparents have attended for over 60 years, so the day held a very nostalgic place in my heart. Honestly, the newlyweds are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and they couldn’t wait to be married. With family flying in from California, and a reception at a family home, the day was all about those closest to them. No surprise, everyone was so friendly, helpful, and simply wonderful to me!

Unfortunately, unlike their engagement session, the chance of rain lingered all day long. Thankfully, we made it to the reception before it started to sprinkle. Despite the heat and mugginess of the weather, Beth and Jeremy were so happy. They truly couldn’t wait to be married. Not surprisingly, Jeremy kept Beth giggling all day long. Because their bridal party was full of troopers and they stuck out the gross weather, Beth and Jeremy got some of the outdoor portraits they had dreamed of. Seriously, I’m so thankful to all of them for their energy and friendliness! Because of them, Beth and Jeremy have truly stunning spring wedding portraits!! My favorite part of the day was when Beth told me that she hoped she always remembers what it felt like going through the victory tunnel after their ceremony.

In addition to being special simply because of the chapel (and that Jeremy and Beth are extraordinary people), their wedding day held even more meaning for me. Actually, I grew up next to Jeremy and his sister Lacie. My own brother and I were so happy to have friends our age close by finally! Even after we moved to different places, I stayed in touch with Lacie – and she was a bridesmaid at my own wedding. Of course, our mothers were friends for many years, too. Obviously, this family holds such a dear place in my heart. I’m still so honored they had me there to capture their memories.Their day was literally perfect! The love for Beth and Jeremy from each guest and family member was not missed. Because of that, everything felt more emotional.

Beth and Jeremy, congratulations on being newlyweds! As you know, I am beyond excited for your journey ahead. And, I’m honored you had me there to celebrate your incredibly beautiful Alabama wedding day. Truthfully, it was so good to be among friends, especially with everything going on lately. I’m so happy I could capture your stunning moments for years to come!

I am Jessica Smith. I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Born and raised in Alabama, I have lived on the Gulf Coast for the most of my life. After adventures with my husband’s job in the Coast Guard, we decided it was time to follow our hearts and settle down back on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Being from Fairhope, my southern heritage is apparent from the time you meet me. My southern “twang” and my love of Alabama football are the giveaways. I am a wife and a mother to three gorgeous sons. I also love to garden and promoting wellness in the world.
