I met Kitty and Greg during Vintage Market Days in Mobile, Alabama. We chatted for awhile, and got along splendidly, and before the show was up, they had booked me to capture their wedding day! While we were discussing options for their engagement session, I managed to talk them into a sunrise session at Alabama Point, in Orange Beach AL. Since not everyone loves sunrises sessions, I’m extra grateful for them for entertaining the idea. It was so worth it! Their Alabama Point engagement session was absolutely beautiful!
Alabama Point Engagement Session
One reason I love sunrise sessions is because the light is so much softer. Not to mention, spaces that are typically more populated are a bit more empty, giving us free reign! The light on the morning of Kitty and Greg’s session didn’t disappoint at all! It was soft and perfect around these two. We enjoyed the beach, mostly to ourselves, and walked around a few different spots. Other than some fisherman, we were able to have space to work. While we did, I had a great time getting to know them more! That’s probably one of my favorite parts of engagement sessions – extra time with my JSP couples. I love hearing about wedding plans, and whatever else is happening in their lives at the moment, too!
To finish up their engagement portraits on the beach, we brought their dog Doosan out! He was really well behaved for us. But, just in case, Greg kept Doosan’s shock collar nearby. At one point, he had it in his pocket and accidentally shocked himself!! But, Doosan was great – and super playful. His photos with Kitty and Greg were the best way to end this session!
It was so wonderful getting to see you, Kitty and Greg! I can’t wait until your big day!
